[Haul/Review] Parks, Masks and Thoughts on Princess Etoinette Brushes

Hey again \(^o^)/

Yes, yes second post for the day but the earlier post was supposed last night's post and now here is today's post!

I went to the city this morning for a job interview but typical me, I was early. So I just went for a little walk near by because I love going for a walk around the CBD; it has such a nice atmosphere. Plus I can't keep still for too long.

And soon enough I stumbled upon this cute little park, the Flagstaff Gardens, to chill out and enjoy the morning air before my interview. Actually I've been here once before for a university orientation thing but I never really appreciated its beauty then.

It has such a nice atmosphere and is really pretty. I really wished I had brought a book just to complete the atmosphere but I was listening to a group called Raspberry Field so that was close enough.

I even saw an old cute asian couple go around the track a couple of times. It was so adorable. A couple of people were also seen jogging along the pathway and even a chick and her personal trainer were working out on the lawn. Ahh nature <3 It's nice to appreciate the small things in life every now and again.

Some people were even camping out here o.0

Fast forward to lunch and I finally tried a bahn mi (vietnamese roll) from Roll'd at QV. I payed $6.60AUD and the queue to pick up your order was massive. I've had many bahn mi before and this was a let down. They took too long, the space was cramped and it wasn't worth its money. Normally I pay around $2.50AUD for it and it's amazing. This... not so much. Bread wasn't fresh and the flavour of the chicken was overpowering the entire roll. Well least I tried it.

After lunch I decided to pop by this asian store called the Pudgy Panda to see if they had any new masks in, and they did! I was sooo tempted to buy 10 cause they had this little deal going on, 10 for $18AUD but considering I already had a couple of masks at home and they were only $2AUD each, I thought I'd just buy five and comeback later if I really wanted more.

They're from the Taiwanese company My Beauty Diary and I've heard they're the best around. I've used a couple before but not on a frequent basis cause recently they haven't had much of these ones in stock. I've tried the natto one before and so I thought I'd give some others ago. The masks I got were a hyaluronic acid moisturizing, lemon vit-c, caviar, black pearl and collagen firming. I'm so excited I can just buy these locally instead of having to buy online and waiting around for them. They each have specific traits, I might do a review of each one as I use them. I only use them weekly cause I can't really afford to use them every day or every 2 - 3 days T___T

And now for my Etude House Haul ^____^

I actually cannot believe how soon they arrived in the mail. I wasn't expecting them till mid-next week but kpoptown delivers (just click on the link to visit the site where I got these from). They're a really reliable seller and sometimes even cheaper than other stores, but then there's shipping T___T (and no I'm not being paid to endorse them).

As soon as I saw these brushes from the Etude House Princess Collection I just had to have it. It comes in the cutest packaging ever! How could you not want it?! I really want the blushers but sadly they're a bit out of my price range. Actually I just want the entire collection but I'm so poor these days. Urgh just look at how pretty that box is.

I also bought a foundation brush cause I thought I'd give it a go. Normally I just use a sponge or if I'm pressed for time I just use my hands.

Just check out that pouch for the brushes, and the ribbon! It's like every girly girl's dream to own. It has such a nice texture too. Well except maybe the rose gold trimming, that could have been done a bit nicer. Maybe metal? Idk I still love it.

The brush set comes with a powder brush, a last touch brush and a lip gradation tip. I actually can't get over how pretty each brush is! Ahh the handles, and the pink tips. SO gorgeous >__< All their brushes come with a brush cover which is nice cause it can help to keep bacteria away. And the brushes, so soft! I really can't wait to use them.

The powder brush, that's pretty straight forward: used for powders, blushes even highlighters. The last touch brush was a lot thicker than I expected it to be. Not sure if I will use it, but I'll experiment. I can use it to fix up any streaky makeup or even to apply a touch of blush or highlighter. The lip gradation is pretty cool. It's a sponge type tip that can be used for that gradation effect on lips. I can use it with my new Tony Moly Tony Tint or even lipstick, like the Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips which is on its way hehe.

There's even a smaller space to fit some more brushes! But I can't fit my new foundation brush in there so maybe some smaller brushes can fit in there like my eye brushes. I'm not really a fan of the inside colour. It's a bit too brown-green for me.

Look how pretty my brushes look ^___^

This is my other Etude House brush, it's a Dual Fibre brush. It's such a versatile brush, I love it! It can be used for blushes, highlighters, even foundation for that so called 'air brushed' look. I'm slowly building up my Etude House Brush set. I really love their simplistic design and size. I'm a bit scared to use my new Etoinette brushes cause they're so pretty but how can you not use them?!

Oh oh and I really want that rose brush, although I don't really need it. It's gonna be the biggest struggle to not buy everything else in the set. Maybe if I buy just one blusher or highlighter then that'll be enough....

Until next time

Much loves

[DIY] Studs, Lace and Denim

Hello hello :)

So this isn't exactly a post on makeup like I said I would post about but I thought I'd share a little about project I had been working on today to cure my holiday boredom.

These were a pair of really baggy, straight leg 3/4 pants that I got for  $5 AUD and a vintage warehouse sale. I always wanted a pair of shorts in this white wash colour and so when I saw these pants I knew I could revive them. I wish I took a picture of what they looked like before cutting them up but I cut them up aaages ago cause I expected my studs to arrive in the mail that day.

You'll need:

A pair of pants you can cut up or an old pair of shorts

A ruler as a guide to evenly place it out
A pencil to help push down the studs and draw lines
Some studs. I bought a 100 pack of 5mm studs on ebay for less than $2 AUD I think.

Basically just draw some lines horizontally and vertically as to how far away you want your studs to be as a general guide using the pencil. It doesn't have to be perfect, like I said just a rough guide. You can kinda see my lines in the picture below. And stud away! Just push the studs on the jeans until they come out on the other side, just be careful to not prick yourself. And using the end of the pencil, just bend down the pointy edges Even though I drew on lines some of my studs aren't evenly spaced. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Half way there ^_____^ Yeah I was doing it whilst still in my PJs cause I was too lazy to change.

And the final product

There are many ways to stud it. You could even stud a cross pattern onto it. Originally I was gonna stud the entire left back side but I decided to do it this way instead and I'm much happier. Plus I didn't have enough studs. I could have done it but I didn't want to space them so far apart.

I wasn't quite satisfied with my jeans and because I had some spare lace lying around, I thought hey why not sew it onto my jeans to liven it up a bit more.

What you'll need:
Needle and thread [TIP: Use a thicker needle so it's not as hard to pull it out of the denim. It was a bit of a struggle to push/pull the needle out so I used my ruler as help so I didn't injure myself)
Lace of any kind or even some spare fabric

Just sew it on any way possible. It's easy if you know how to use a needle and thread.

Final product

Hmm I don't know why these two pictures are so dark compared to the others :S The lace on the front pocket looks a bit awkward. There's a lot going on with these shorts already so I might just take it off.

I really love the back of it. I just drew some guidelines, cut up some lace and sewed them on for a layered effect. I think it looks pretty awesome. You could sew on fabric on the pocket, around the pockets, or even just half the pocket! It's totally up to you.

And so I folded down the lace of the left front pocket and I like it much better now. Bah, this photo is much brighter than the other two :S

This is something else I modified cause I didn't want to throw it out. Oh the burden of being a hoarder. I got it as a gift aaages ago from my friend when I was really obsessed with Skelanimals. Once again I wish I took a picture of it before I cut it up but once again I forgot, silly me. But here is a picture of the beautiful Alex Gaskarth from pop punk band All Time Low (albeit in an unflattering photo) in the original shirt. Just click the link if you're curious as to what it looks like. And yeah I'm well aware it's a guy's shirt. It was a bit unflattering to wear but now it looks pretty cool. I just cut off the collar so it was a bit wider and lower, cut off the sleeves to make it a tank top, cut the bottom into small even strips, pulled the strips so that they have that curling effect and bam! you now have a new shirt.

Until next time!

Much loves,
Miss Lucy Belle

(PS I was supposed to upload this last night but I was too tired so I'm just posting it up now. There'll probably be another post later tonight about new stuff and my day)

[Haul/Review] Etude House, Tony Moly, Holika Holika

You know what's the best feeling in the world? Walking to the mailbox and seeing not one, but three packages in the mail ^____^ I was expecting another box but hey, that'll come eventually. Patience young grasshopper :P

Also please excuse everything on my desk. I couldn't be bothered moving everything and it was the best place to take photos clearly

What I ordered:
Etude House: Precious Mineral BB Compact Bright Fit SPF 30+ in W24 Honey Beige
Etude House: Drawing Eyebrow in #2 Greyish Brown
Etude House: Surprise Essence Concealer in #2 Natural Beige
Holika Holika: Love Fantasy Blusher in Pink Fantasy
Holika Holika: Jewel Light Waterproof Eyeliner in Pink Topaz
Tony Moly: Cat Chu Wink Tony Tint in #1 Cherry Pink

I honestly love free samples. I wish they gave out free samples with products in Australia. There's nothing like try before buy as a great marketing scheme. Who knows, I might even buy the full product of these if I really like them. And I received a free sharpener... So random. But yay freebies ^____^ And more lip tints hehehe

Freebies:
Tony Moly: Tony Tint
Etude House: Fresh Cherry Tiny
Etude House: White Moistfull First Essence
Skinfood: Royal Honey Hydro Cream
Skinfood: Deep Sea Water Multi Gel

Holika Holika: Jewel Light Waterproof Eyeliner in Pink Topaz

So this is my third Jewel Light Waterproof Eyeliner; I already have it in Amber Brown and 18K. I am honestly in love with these. They're so pretty and sparkly. And not to mention waterproof and smudge proof. Like really really smudge proof. I can't actually rub it off my hand with my fingers. It doesn't look too pink in this picture, it looks really silvery but that's just how sparkly/jewel-like it is.

Holika Holika: Love Fantasy Blusher in Pink Fantasy

Everything about this product is so pretty and cute! Although I expected it to be a bit more bigger :C

Even the puff is adorable! Albeit the puff is kinda useless. Maybe I just need to apply more pressure or something when using it.

The top colour is a shimmery pastel pink, the heart is a neon pink and the bottom is a pastel peach kinda colour. It was a bit hard to take a picture of the colours :C I can't wait to test this out. I don't think it's pigmented enough but we'll see how it goes.

Etude House: Drawing Eyebrow in #2 Greyish Brown

I needed a pencil of some sort to fill in my eyebrows, and it even comes with a cool spool to groom them. It's a good colour cause it matches my eyebrows, not too dark or brown.

Etude House: Surprise Essence Concealer in #2 Natural Beige

To cover my dark circles and imperfections T__T At first it goes on a bit light but then adjusts to my skin tone o.0

Etude House: Precious Mineral BB Compact Bright Fit SPF 30+ in W24 Honey Beige

I already have a compact, a Maybelline one but I bought this to use with my BB cream cause it's a BB compact and has SPF30+, but I don't know if that's still a good enough reason for buying it. But it's so cute!! Well the packaging is.

Gah I just realised that I didn't upload a picture of my Tony Moly Tony Tint :C I'll do it another time and do a review then.

I can't wait for more products to arrive in the mail ^____^

Lucy in Wonderland

Hi guys!

So my name is Lucy and this is my blog ^___^

I've decided to start this blog just to document and share my new found love for Asian, well to be more precise Korean cosmetics. Korean cosmetics are so hard to come by in the land down under (Australia) and when I do find them they're either largely overpriced or not even in the colours I want T__T

My love for Korean cosmetics all began in the summer of 2012/2013 when I went to the Philippines for a holiday. There in the mall, was a small shop in all its pink glory, Etude House and down the rabbit hole I fell. I also managed to visit the Face Shop but not Tony Moly whilst over there. T___T As soon as I arrived back in Australia, I just wanted more. More I tell you! I trawled the internet to buy more Korean cosmetics and so my obsession has begun....
